Volsung Arbiters
Guild Wars Guild

Ok, you'll have to forgive the bare-bones page here, but I'm too busy playing Guild Wars to set up a decent webpage. So without further ado, here's the skinny on the guild.

First an explanation on the name: The Volsung Arbiters. The Volsung name comes to us from a Scandinavian Epic, where often solitary kings went out and kicked monster ass. The Arbiter is defined as "a person or agency having the power of deciding". The Volsung Arbiters is a guild bent on deciding when to kick monster ass, I suppose, but in a solitary fashion. The guild is set up as a support point for single players who may wish to wear a cape and not be hassled by other guilds to join.

I play games most of the time solo, I'm a single player hell bent on saving the world myself. That's how I am playing Guild Wars...but there sometimes needs to be more. That's what this guild sets out to be. For all our single player glory, there are certain missions where the simple rented comp controlled helpers are not good enough, where human help is needed.

It is times like these that a guild comes in handy, because you can trust the members of the guild to help you out in a tight spot. There are some experiences you get with random people signing on to be in your party, and then not living up to their potential. That's the advantage of belonging to this guild, the Volsung Arbiters value independence, and while there may be certain guild oriented activities just to mess around and get experience, every member realizes that gameplay is about a solo adventure, and there will be no requirements after joining.

Since the Volsung Arbiters are solitary types, rarely will we be at 'war' with other guilds, or actually compete with other guilds. We are there for the spoils, and what others do in their spare time is not our concern. We are there for the gameplay experience, no more no less. These guild competitions are not of our concern mainly, because they have little to do with the individual's quests in the world.

So. If you enjoy playing single player, but may need to call in some help occasionally from a party of like minded people who you can trust, you should consider signing up to be a Volsung Arbiter.
