Ireland, The beginning

So the Ireland trip.  What happened in the beginning was this: we got on the trains and due to the general incompetence of both myself and the trains(which were delayed once or twice) we missed the only train to Fishguarde from Swansea.  We missed the one train by three minutes.  So after about 15 minutes dealing with the ineptitude of the train employees, we had to hitch a cab.  So we did.  These are the pictures that tell the tale of....

The Great Cross Country Taxi Journey!!!!!

This is Erin, Nikky, and Jackie.  On the race.  Taking it well.

This is myself, Jason and Trevor.  Trevor wasn't taking it so well.  He was getting motion sickness.  Eventually we arrived and this is the sight that greeted us:

Yes, we had arrived just as the Ferry was pulling away from the Dock.  But never fear! We talked with Stenaline and they put us on the fast ferry.  All that was left was to thank our intrepid taxi driver.

Which myself and Jason promptly did, by allowing him to be in our picture. And a generous tip of course. Then we were on our way!

In fact, we were on our way so fast that we passed the former ferry. Jason gave it what it had coming!

Then we were in Ireland, where signs like this one were very common.

Here's a picture of the harbor near Dungarven, where we spent the first night.

Now onto Blarney castle!
