In Florida

I apologize about the lack of update, but apparently the wi-fi at KOA will only allow devices which work with SSL to use their networks. My PSP and it’s browser will not work at any KOA I stay at. Oh well.

On the plus side, I spent last evening in the ER with my cousin. He had gone to the beach earlier in the day and was stung by a stingray, and it was painful and his mother (a nurse) had us go to the ER to see what could be seen. We had tried a walk in clinic first, but we got there literally just as they had locked the doors to close. It made me sad.

Other than that, the roadtrip has been going great, I’ll have pictures at stories in detail in a couple weeks when I get back and get all the images off my camera. Good times.

Some teaser highlights: dublin dr. pepper, the canyon which is grand, the founder of 4-H, and a gigantic meteor crater.

today’s to-do:

Clean up nectarines that have fallen all week from the ground
shake the tree and pick enough nectarines to flavor the secondary fermentation of cream ale
boil said nectarines for 20 minutes to pasteurize them
Wait for nectarine mix to cool down to add beer to it (so the yeast doesn’t die)
Get DosBox working on my PSP
Get daggerfall working on DosBox
Play Morrowind
Pick up my roomie and the youth workers from LAX
rack the beer

Good times, and a decently busy saturday.

thanks mom and dad

I had bought one of those boxed dinners (Homestyle bakes? something like that), it was chicken and dumplings.

Well, the dumpling bag was cut before I opened the box. I don’t trust them that much that I’d mix up some dumplings from something that had been sitting in my cupboard for a couple months.

So, I whipped up some dumpling batter of my own and used that.

I trace my mad cooking skillz back to the fact that both mom and dad cooked when we were kids…this has direct relation to the fact that I’m not really afraid of any recipe and am not bound by any notions of “cooking is for women” or any sexist garbage like that. I’m pretty pleased with how the dumplings turned out too. Mmmm.

Still though, I gots to marry me someone who can cook. Or who is rich. If I’m lucky? I’ll get one who can cook and who is rich!

why people died on Air France

The investigator said “”I don’t know why nobody survived,” he said. “I don’t know the intensity of the impact. Perhaps we will find out from the autopsies. Perhaps we will never know.”"

Maybe because the plane CRASHED into the OCEAN straight down VERY VERY FAST!?

Statistically speaking, the amount of people who don’t survive such a crash are at about 100%.
