yesterday
finished up the action items from editing, and went to sushi and a movie with some friends.
Note to people who eat sushi: stay away from things called “philadelphia rolls”…they are a horrid horrid combination of textures and should not be made…ever. They’re tuna and cream cheese. The taste isn’t so bad, but the texture? Ugh.
So, anyway, sushi is growing on me. This is the second time I’ve had legitimate sushi out here, as opposed to sushi from a grocery store.
Anyhoos, the movie we saw was Australia. It was worth the $9.50. It wasn’t brilliantly done, or anything like that, but it was enjoyable. One of the few times in the last year that I can honestly say a movie was worth the price of admission.
I’ve had sushi a few times, and so far I haven’t gotten the point.
Its not bad at all… just… uneventful.
Its like hearing all this hype from people about something and ending up eating a saltine.
Comment by Michael — 11/30/2008 @ 12:19 pmYeah, it’s overhyped quite a bit. It’s something different to have than sandwiches or pasta or whatnot.
And it’s relatively inexpensive, comparatively.
Again, though, you’re right…it’s simply not as great as some people make it out to be.
