today was a long day. it’s been a long month, and I’m pretty thankful it’s almost over.

There was a pirate ship and Captain Black Toes was in charge. One day while at sea, his 2nd in charge came over to him and said ” captain captain, there is another pirate ship out there what do you want us to do?”

Black Toes replies. ” Jimbo, get me my red shirt” so Jimbo fetches his red shirt and Black Toes puts it on and they fight for hours and win a fantastic arduous battle. Exahusted they all sit down and enjoy a wonderful meal together celebrating their victory. One of the men says how wonderful it was they won but wanted to know why Black toes wore the red shirt.

Black toes replies,” Well if i had of kept my shirt on and was stabbed or shot the blood would of shown up and you would of been afraid and start to panic and lose the battle, but because it was red you continued to fight.”

“ahhh Yes very good they reply”

A few weeks later they are at sea again, and Jimbo approaches Black toes. “Sir, there be 10 British frigates gathering towards us, what shall we do”

Black toes replies,” Jimbo, get me my brown pants.”

more or less, another couple weeks to edit it/add/subtract and it’ll be sent off.

right now, it’s standing at 41 pages. that’s about right, but I know a few more pages have to be added.

before my brain decided to rebel and stop working properly.

saved me once again. My computer froze up in the middle of typing up some of my dissertation…instead of losing about 2 pages, it auto saves like once every thirty seconds.

still though, annoying.

My mom won’t let me eat at the table with a sword what should I do?

The answers to that question, and in fact the question itself, prove to me that there exist more idiots in this world than I could possibly imagine.

However, a few of my favorite answers were:

WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOUR FAMILY!!!? WHO DOESN’T LET THEIR KID EAT WITH A SWORD AT THE DINNER TABLE?!!!

Ask her if you can take a pen to the table instead, if she says it’s ok, just tell her if the pen is mightier than the sword, why should you be allowed the pen and not a sword?

What Kind of sword are you trying to eat with at the table for which meal? Because honestly, we all know you can’t have a broad sword at breakfast. That’s a dinner sword.

If you were a ninja, she wouldn’t even know you were there, eating with a sword. So learn the ultimate ninja skills.

slowly goes the writing, but at least its going. 22 pages so far this chapter. Maybe about 1/3rd or a little more done. Good times ‘n such.

I am at the point in the thesis where that’s what will carry me through. Tonight I got 2 full solid pages written up. Considering that usually I do spurts of 8-10, that’s not much, but usually those 8-10 are one day events.

These two were on a weeknight.

I figure if I can keep this up, more or less, I shouldn’t have a problem reaching the end of the diss by May. HOPEFULLY.

In completely unrelated news, I washed my car today. This is the first time since winter formal of my senior year of high school that I’ve washed my vehicle. USUALLY all I’ve done is wait for it to rain. It doesn’t do that so much here in California. When my vehicle (any vehicle, not just this one) has been washed, it’s usually been taken into a car wash by my dad or my brother.

I was conserving water.

But then I looked at it tonight, looked at my beer, looked at my open schedule, and figured, what the heck. I washed it.
