Supermouse!

This article was really good, but I felt that the image was underplaying it, considering the headline. It should have looked something like this:

Supermouse fights cancer!

I got a hair cut!

But it looked stupid, so I got the rest of them cut too.

World of Warcraft

though I gave it up back in August, I found this to be funny.

Hey Shatner, how do I hurl bolts of lightning?

Found a better one, featuring Mr. T:

Well maybe Mr. T hacked the game and created a Mohawk class…

Pixel Comic

is back. This is probably one of my favorite webcomics. After a few months hiatus, the comic is back, and it makes me happy. I think, probably, this is one of the most literary/word intense comics out there.

It, uh, sorta has to be I guess, due in large part to the art being boxes of colors. But the mix of wordplay, web colors, and boxes makes for a very entertaining strip.

Read it, love it.

thanksgiving

‘n all that, yo. It was a good time, ran down to my little brother’s house for the big meal, brought a bunch of pies. It was a good time, still going strong when I left.

Other than that, nothing really new. I had a landline put in finally, email me for my new #. The cell phone still works, sorta, in the apartment. Not well though. So I got that timewarner digital phone line.

Now my problem is that my calls are all staticy and crap. I think it could be (going through the troubleshooting section in my manual) that my phone is in the same surge protector as the modem. Or so they say. That, or it could be any appliance in my f’ing house. I’m guessing that non of my trouble shooting will work tomorrow, and I’ll end up returning the phones and getting a decent phone that isn’t cordless. Too bad, because I really like the look and usage of this one. except for that static. damned at&t.

Good times. I’m thankful that the phone still works better than my cell.

I’m also thankful that A) I don’t have to work tomorrow, and B) I am not stepping foot out of my apartment unless its to get something from my car. They call it black friday because of the beatings I hand out to idiots on that day of the year.

Welcome everyone

who is coming over from my friend Dan’s blog. If you want some preliminary information on the book, I’d request you head over to inanisthehooded.com (it’s in its infancy, so feel free to overlook the basic nature of it) and get some more info there.

Laundry

I gotta say I like the new laundry facilities. Sure, the machines may be older, and the dryer takes 15 more minutes to dry, but the benefits outweight the paltry detriments. The washer takes 25 minutes (10 minutes less), but to do a load of laundry only costs $1.50 vs. $2 at the old palce. That, plus the fact the dryer actually gets my jeans and clothes dry (a CONSTANT problem at the old place) makes me happy.

post apocalypse

I was torn between Swordsmanship and Brewer, but I honestly think there’ll be more demand for someone who can get people so drunk that they forget the fact that they f’ed up the world and destroyed every good modern thing about it.

So, I chose that one, for the sake of my brother’s child’s future. So that precious lil’ Storm Shadow(the hands down winner, with 35.71% of the vote) will be able to depend on the family to be able to survive.

I think I’m quite the noble crazy uncle. Cause I got swordsmanship to backup the brewing should things get hairy. And what do you think is going to be used up first? Exactly. The bullets. Then your freakin’ gun will look pretty damned useless won’t it? Yes it will.

aaaand I’m back

or rather, I was back last night. I was just too busy last night to post anything. And this morning, this afternoon, and evening I was running rampant.

btw, I still hate time warner. they got the interweb working, but were supposed to have my cable up at the same time. No go. The tech guy said if it wasn’t activated in 3-4 hours to bring it in. So I did this afternoon. Found out the tech guy put the wrong number for the box in the system. Wheee. So I got a new box, gave them a call at the 800 number, then at the “local” number because apparently that one is better, and then “activated” the box through their touch tone system. They said it’d be half an hour.

It’s now been half an hour and still no cable.

It isn’t a big deal, I suppose, but I really want to be rockin’ out to VH1 classics as I finish putting all my junk away.

*edited 10 minutes later*
They activated the cable. Watching Vh1 Classic reminds me of a joke: What is loud, has nine arms, and sucks? Def Leppard.

my wrath, they shall feel it

specifically wave broadband. Guess who only worked half a day yesterday? That’d be me! Wave broadband called and checked to see about the disconnect day for my interweb, I told them that yeah, people are moving in earlier than expected, and to bump up the day to next wednesday. The FOURTEENTH.

Now, I’m not entirely certain how they mixed up FOURTEENTH and/or WEDNESDAY with TODAY and/or THE NINTH, but somehow they did it. And then I call them, and they said they’d reconnect it. And like any corporation, you can’t trust them.

Guess who’s stealing someone’s bandwidth to post this right now?
