the big news

Inanis the Hooded…

First go to amazon.com, then type in the search box “Sean Froyd”, then you will see the big news.

If you’re in the mood for some extra information, you can go to
www.inanisthehooded.com
Though that site is REALLY bare bones right now, but a blog/forum is coming as well as more info in regards to the book.

If you’re too lazy to type that into amazon.com, you can just click this link:
Inanis the Hooded

That’s the news. Now get on and buy the book!

Bad news, good news

The bad news: you’re going to have to wait a while longer for the BIG news that I’ve got. DNS propagation is kickin’ me in the balls. How long? Hopefully not long. My ISP is being a ridiculous, and I can’t do what I need to do until they’ve gotten with the program here. Believe me…it’s killing me not telling you…much more than you not knowing what it is.

The good news: I wrote 9 pages on my dissertation this morning. w00t!

holy cow

I had been drinking 1% milk for the last year, and picked up some 2% on accident last night.

It’s really amazing the extra 1%, what it does for flavor.

True story.

got the apartment

it has a decent patio, decent floor layout, it’s much quieter than my current apartment (as in not next to the train tracks or the 101 highway), and it’s cheaper to do laundry there.

THe downsides are that it is smaller, and it doesn’t have a dishwasher.

Oh well. Now it’s time to start packin’

new apartment

I have seen them (there’s a choice of two) and there’s one that I REALLY want, and it’s better for the layout of my junk.

If I don’t get it, that’s fine, but I’d really like it. As such, I’m going to head in tomorrow to slap down the security deposit and see what I can see.

tuesdays are teh suxxorz.

They honestly are.

Mondays – A new week, while that may suck, it is at least something different than the weekend. it’s at least a start.
Tuesdays – nothing good can be said about this day.
Wednesday – hump day, half way through the week.
Thursday – one of two things can be said of thursday: “it’s almost friday”, or “at least it’s not tuesday”
Friday – self explanatory.

changed my name back

I’ve decided that I’m angry enough to rant, not just mutter.

evaluations done

had the last two reviewers sitting in today. according to one (haven’t heard from the other one yet). everything worked except one thing: the reading. THen she told me that to make them read she gave them quizzes everyday, and that I should do the same.

I didn’t ask out loud how that improved their writing or their critical thinking skills, both of which are what the class does according to the course description .

SCHIP

why do we have universal health care coverage for seniors (medicare) and not for children? Economically, it makes more sense to get universal health care for the chillens…they’ve got a good 50 years of tax paying ahead of them.

apparently, seniors get health care because they can vote…unlike the lil’ chillens.
