I’m in the process of getting everything I need to build a new computer. Yesterday I saw an ad on craigslist for a 1ghz Athlon PC with a 19″ monitor for $95. It didn’t have much for a hard drive, and only a cd-r and dvd drive, it’s not a great computer.

I bought it.

Because when I build a computer in August(when I get the last influx of cash from loans), it’ll save me over $100 on a case alone. I had Jon price me out a top notch computer back in January, and it came to about $1300 w/o monitor or drives. The price of the case there was $130. This case is pretty big, so I’m not worried about size with the equipment, and I can always make sure it’s got plenty of ventilation. I figure I’m quite a way ahead of budget now.

Maybe I’ll spring for a totally sweet graphic card set up.

mmmm….august can’t come soon enough.

(btw, I don’t know how I managed doing stuff on my laptops for so long, now I’ve got it hooked intot he 19 incher…wow. just wow.)
