more vegetables

I’ve decided to consume more vegetables. I’ve also decided that I’m stopping this slim fast shake business. I’ve been doing that on and off for the last…I don’t know? 5 years? And the only time it’s really paid off was when I was exercising heavily.

So I figure, since I’m exercising more, it’s probably better to be less hungry and more healthy by eating more vegetables instead of those shakes. 5 years is a long time to be drinking shakes that don’t taste very good. A balanced diet is probably better anyway.

Some people may ask “why not more fruit?” I’ve never really been a fruit person. Plus, vegetables keep longer than fruit.

My main issues is that I shop for groceries maybe once every 2 weeks. I’m lazy and I hate grocery shopping out here, so that means I will look for stuff that will keep for over two weeks. Because sometimes I forget I have food, and will find it in 3 weeks, and consume it then.

Vegetables seem to keep longer than fruit, hence more vegetables. Specifically frozen veggies. Not a fan of the amount of work it takes to prepare fresh ones more than once a week or so.
