So tempting
38th Annual Mythopoeic Conference has a call for papers regarding the journey that adepts take in Fantasy fiction.
I’m extremely tempted to send in an abstract of the academic side of my MA Thesis to present on. It would work well for the conference…I’d have to adjust it to fit a 40 minute timeline, and include some more examples within it, but it could be done.
The registration fee of $80 for the conference is a bit high, but I think I could swing it.
Decisions, Decisions.

Why would you need to register if your abstract is accepted? You’d be a presenter then.
yeah, if it’s accepted you still need to cough up the cash. Kind of sad, but what can you do?
That’s odd. I’ve never been forced to pay when I was presenting. I better double check those conferences in May – I remember seeing one of them was around $200.
@#$% that, if I’m doing them a favor by creating content for their conference! They should pay me!
well, I’m guessing it’s definitely NOT standard, but I think this is a smaller type of conference, judging from their member list.
