one paper done
needs editing.
I’ll have to take incompletes on the other two. I don’t think there’s a chance to get them done before thursday(esp. with training tomorrow night at UoP) even if the computer came back relatively soon.

My patience is rapidly running out. I’ve got papers due and training to complete, and both of them would be accomplished quickly and easily if I had my good computer. Which gateway f’ed up in the first place when the replaced the motherboard the last time.
Honestly. The next computer will NOT be a mass produced POS, nor will it be a laptop. I’ll build it myself so I know how to fix it should something go wrong. Sending computers in to companies that don’t give a rat’s ass about repairing things in a timely manner is ri-goddamned-iculous.
I emailed them today to see if anything has been changed. The reply I got makes me think that they only talk to the repair place once a week, on Wednesdays. It was along the lines of “We will be coordinating with the repair center within 24 hours to update the status on the repairs”, which is remarkably close to the last time “Please allow 24-48 business day hours to get the updated status” which was on FRIDAY. What the hell?
They’ve had it for 7 days now. And I KNOW they’ve got people working there on the weekends. Is it so hard to KEEP TRACK OF THINGS!?
Of course, it is Gateway, so knowing my luck there’re thousands of other computers at the service center waiting to be repaired as well.
At least they speak english when I call and talk to them though.
