that’s what protesters did with their common sense in regards to the left behind video game.

Oh no! they’re supposedly “training for religious warfare” by playing this game! All that praying and converting! Aieeee!

So, now that the panic is done, let’s step back and think about this: there is a great deal of difference between what this game supposedly “teaches” and actual holy war that is being preached by the other big monotheistic religion. So, in this game people pray and convert…what do you want them to do? Put on jackets made of dynamite and blow themselves up? C’mon.

All that aside however, the people who are attacking this game are using religion as the main grounds for arguing against people buying/playing it. There’s really no reason to bring religion into it.

The game is just bad. And since it’s an attempt to get into the secular side of the video game money making empire, then it should be defeated purely on the secular ground that the game sucks. Leave religion aside until there is good reason to argue about it.

As a review of the game said, “Don’t hate it because of the religious issues, hate it because it’s a bad game.”

It should be left behind.

Did you get that? That was a little play on the name of the game. I felt I did a particularly good job with that final line. The rest of the post was passe, but that final line there…wow. I surprise myself.
