My paper for Islam
is probably not going to be well-received. I asked the prof why the Sufis used the imagery of wine and drunkeness so often, or if there was a book or study out there that traced it. I was told pretty curtly that it was all metaphorical, and then it was used by Islam as a whole as another reason to crack down on the sufi sects.
There’s got to be something more than that. And that’s what my paper is going to try to figure out.
but I don’t it’ll be well received. ON the other hand, I don’t give a rip.
