*EDIT* HER BIRTHDAY ISN”T UNTIL TOMORROW. So I’m early. So sue me.

coup-coup catchoo!

So this morning I awoke to the sounds of someones window being opened up. I thought to myself “Y’know, even in this apartment which is right next to the entrance, that sounds REALLY REALLY CLOSE!” So I got up, threw on a sweatshirt and some jogging pants, and went into the kitchen in time to see a hand looking for the thing to open the blinds.

I did it for them, and asked them if I could help them. They said that they were told no one was living in the apartment, and that the land lady told them they could just enter through the window. And I remember thinking to myself yeah right. They showed me the paint bucket and everything.

So they started fumbling with the screen to put it back on. Now I’m no dummy, I’m not going to put that damned screen back in. Even if they WERE thieves, I’m going to make them put the screen back on. So after much fumbling they did.

I saw which van was theirs outside, and waited until no one was around it(roughly 30 seconds), I think they were calling the manager. But whatever. I went down there and outside, and got the license plate number just to be sure.

Then I came back in and called my landlord. haha, she’s a crazy lady. No answer, so I left a message. It’s been about half an hour and no call back, but those guys are still here. They were apparently looking for 207 not 217. And since I haven’t seen anything being loaded into their van(which is already loaded with paint and spackle and all), I haven’t called the police yet.

But still. Hell of a way to start the day.
