a sense of relief

There’s always a period of relief following school sessions.

Three days non-stop all day class gets a bit much sometimes. I may be feeling the burn out on classes.

Some classmates and I were talking about it, and we’re all pretty much fed up with the 2-3 page “thought” papers, and basically have settled on the fact that they’re busy work. In all honesty, I’d rather have the entire class grade rest on my final paper than shared it with a small paper that can’t really be done correctly.

Not to mention, that these sessions are starting to feel more like a chore, and this started back in June. I’m not enthused to go to these, it’s just getting old. Not to mention I’m tired of writing papers for classes I don’t really care about. I am REALLY looking forward to the dissertation, and am ridiculously excited when I find books that I can order via ILL that have something to do with the history of alcoholic beverages. I am even more excited when I find books by scholars that mention things that I’m thinking about.

I’m in the same point I was a year ago at BSU(for classes anyway) for the masters, and 3 years ago for the BFA…I’m sick of school, but I’m too close to quit now.
