question:

can canned food go bad?

I’m just wondering because I just ate a can of clam chowder(it was soooooo good, I added some tobasco, a couple slices of coby cheese, some olives…back to the point) and I’m REASONABLY certain it was over 5 years old.

Should I be worried about my stomach exploding and a horrible death?

They’re named that for a reason.

Killer whale holds trainer underwater.

Duh. It’s a killer whale. It isn’t a cuddly cooty woo whale. It’s a freakin’ killer whale.

This was bound to happen eventually. That trainer should be glad that he wasn’t ripped apart like a geriatric elephant seal.

Blogger,

what’s up?

502 server errors last night and this morning. Am I gonna have to hand you a-whoopin’?

Naw, probably not. That’s what happens when people rely on free stuff.

Horoscope 11-29-06

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). It’s been said that domestication is the enemy of romance, but you can prove them wrong. Design your home environment to bring about amorous feelings. Your attention to detail makes all the difference.

No, and you can’t make me.

I can’t work like this.

My feet are cold, for some bizzarro reason. I’m wearing socks, and I’ve got slippers on, yet they’re still chilly.

It’s difficult for me to concentrate on anything when my extremities are cold, like my fingers or feet. It’s odd, I know.

new job starts Friday

So, I’ve got a new job. It’s only part time, doesn’t pay all that well, but since it’s better than sitting at home on my days off, it’s something. The job is at Whiz Kidz.

There’s opportunity there for tutoring that pays better than just the base rate, but on the other hand, it’s helping lil’ chillens with homeworks and helping them play video games.

Now, if I can get a part time teaching job at a comm college or some such, I’d be good to go. Interviews for those hopefully early December.

Fingers crossed.

Wow.

I’ve really never been treated so poorly by an employer(even a prospective employer) before. Not even the job agency was this bad.

I was called yesterday LATE(as in, I was half an hour down the road and half an hour from the job) that training was cancelled. This has been the third time that training has been put off, and I was told that it was rescheduled to Friday. Fine.

Just now I receive an Email stating that they couldn’t get together a training session for this group, and since there isn’t really a need for tutoring now, that they’re just going to cancel it and will call in the future “if the need arises”.

Now, I’m not genius, but it seems to me that if you’re hiring people, then you don’t advertise on Craigslist, set up training dates just to cancel them, and then tell the people you said you were hiring that they’re not needed any longer. That’s just rude. You either A) don’t tell them they’re being hired, or B) tell them IMMEDIATELY that they’re not needed.

I haven’t decided what to do about it yet, but right now I’m pretty pissed.

training begins

tomorrow for tutoring at this place.

On the one hand, I’m looking forward to having another job that may help pay bills.

On the other hand, I’m not certain tutoring is for me.

We’ll see tomorrow. Right now, I”m going to take a nice long nap. I’m pretty tired. And I don’t take naps often enough.

Lego Star Wars

is really not that great of a game. Many people said it was fantastic, but I really have found no love in my heart for it. Good things about it: star wars with a twist, quick levels, interesting dynamics with the abilities and the lego aspects.

Bad things: piss poor control scheme, the lack of any targeting system, no camera control, and an insistence to go back through every level to unlock everything.

Ugh. Fetch quests were done to death on the N64…why bring them back? Don’t ask me, but there it is. Plus there’s a sequel out covering the original trilogy.

But, what can I do, if people want to buy garbage, who am I to stop them?

Dante’s Divine Comedy

I finally understand why it’s called a comedy, because Dante was thinking “Haha, this’ll be hilarious if in 700 years some jackass has to wade through all of this boring crap!”

Good one, Dante.

Casino Royale

better than the last couple of Bond films, but not as good as Goldeneye, still the best recent bond film to date.
