goddamned sprint pt 2

so I signed up for a different plan with sprint. I had to. I need my cell phone, but I can’t afford to pay an extra $50 each month because of overages.

Case in point: My n&w minutes don’t start until after 9. I was unaware of that situation, and thought it was at 7. Someone called me last night and we talked for 26 minutes until it was disconnected. I said I’d call back after 7(thinking, mistakenly, that my minutes would be free), nope. another half an hour gone from my minutes.

I was down to only 60 minutes left for this month, at only half way through.

Finding a job takes a lot of freakin’ minutes from the phone company.

So, now, I’m on a plan that has all incoming calls free. Which is a huge help. I’ve still got the same amount of minutes from the other plan plus 50 free ones per month because I signed a contract for 2 years. We’ll see how it goes. It was between this plan, or the plan with 450 minutes for $10 less, but n&w started at 7. I don’t think it was worth it, since now I can call people and have them call me right back for free.

We’ll see how it goes.

Goddamned sprint. When will the cell companies have their plans set up like land lines? Time, for local calls, free. Come on. You know it’s coming. The only reason they don’t do this yet is because they can charge more for time. This will last until people get wise. I mean, come on, they’re offering free incoming minutes!!! How f’ing hard would it be to offer free outgoing minutes too?

Not very.

Jerks. Capitalist pig dogs.

One interview down.

It went pretty well, much different than what I thought it would be. I had assumed there’d be lots of other applicants there, and in fact was told to prepare to be there for 2 hours.

I was the only one there, and it went all right. I’m hopeful for this one, it seems to be the most organized and the best set up out of any tutoring situation out there, and they should get back to me by the end of the week.

The only thing I’ll have to do is “retest” on the SAT and score in the 90th percentile. They also intimated that I could retest on the GRE for a job teaching prep on that. Again I have to score in the 90th percentile. I’m not entirely certain I can do that.

Of course, I’ll have to study for them, and then it’s all good.

we’ll have to see.

goddamned sprint

So apparently, unlike every single OTHER Sprint customer I know of, my Night/Weekend minutes don’t start until 9PM.

Last month, I was charged an extra $50 because of using the phone, and this month, halfway through, I’ve eaten up 5/6ths of my minutes.

Time to go down there and re-sign for another 2 year plan. I don’t necessarily want a new phone though. We’ll see what happens, and what they’re offering.

Jerks.
