Surprised?
Not really. After 7 years of higher education, I always suspect that paperwork will get “lost” somehow, and that when it comes down to finding that paperwork, it’s almost always easier to just claim that it was never received.
Even when said paperwork was put into the hands of the appropriate person, from my own, with the affirmation of “yep this is what you need”.
But now, apparently, she doesn’t recall me HANDING THE FORMS TO HER, and it has become “as we discussed” on orientation day. When in actuality, it was on Thursday before that monday that we actually discussed it. It was orientation day that I handed her the forms that she said she required.
Surprised? Not really. Disgusted? It’s becoming more and more the feeling I get when dealing with administrative situations regarding paperwork and funding.
Actually I am surprised. They found the paperwork.
