The second MA is on its way
I’ve just gotten my last paper back, an A.
I’ve completed all coursework necessary for my MA in Mythological Studies.
Onward to the PhD!

that’s pretty much all I’m thinking about right now, is getting a job. I’m probably not going to be completely comfortable out here until I’ve got a job system set upo that takes care of all my bills.
I applied to a job agency yesterday, so we’ll see how that goes.
If all else fails, its back to retail for me. We’ll give it a week before anything drastic like that occurs.
So here I am, “telecommuting”. It feels actually pretty good, and I’m enjoying doing the work on my own computer, with my own tunes playing.
I like working part time like this. Now it remains to be seen if I can get a part time job doing something else to suppliment this one’s income.
Turns out that a “power cycle” is what I needed. And if anyone is having problems with their internet from Paul Bunyan Net at home(as I was for roughly THE LAST TWO YEARS!!!) here’s what you do:
First off, it’s not the router. I know Josh said that it was the Linksys router, but that isn’t the case. It’s working flawlessly now. Instead, what needs to be done when hooking a router to a modem is a Power Cycle.
What needs to occur is to unplug the modem and leave it unplugged for two minutes or so. Do the same with the router. The reason for this, according to the tech guy I talked to this afternoon, is that this will give it time to wipe clean the IP Address received from the isp. Once you’ve plugged ‘em all in again, restart the comps you’ve got connected (either by wireless or by cable) and you should be golden.
Man, I wish I’d thought of that ages ago.
Thanks Wave Broadband!
Each of the past three nights, I’ve been up at school until 9. Sunday the ‘rents left, and I went up to school to have supper and such with friends, Monday I had class until 9, last night we went to see The Illusionist…I’ve got roughly 3 boxes of stuff left to unpack and a pile of junk that needs to be sorted.
Then tomorrow I can vacuum/sweep, and get the internet in place, and it will be all set. Good times.
Maybe I’ll play some viddeo games? Who knows!
top notch film, and I highly recommend it.
The acting is pretty spectacular, and the story isn’t too much of a rehash. Good flick.
A direct quote:
“I forgot to stamp your books, we were just talking about you. I was confused by the Sean Froyd Phenomenon!”
I assume they were discussing an interlibrary loan situation, but I don’t know whether to be afraid or to be honoured.
by about 3 weeks, but here it is:
it’s a bit of a communal situation which about 9 of us students/former students of the BSU english dept are running around rampant on.
Sometimes it’s funny, sometimes it’s heartwarming. No wait, never mind. That’s heartburn. It’s not heartwarming at all. It is, however, worth reading. And not just for me.
Folks. First things first. READ THE SIGNATURE. Everything that has been said, look at the signature. It says “Ryan”. It doesn’t say “Froyd”. But that is neither here nor there.
I am living in Ventura. I’ll have pictures up on Thursday probably. It’s a nice big one bedroom. My cat is pleased. I’m on the wireless here at school, and will have the internet hooked up at home on Thursday.
Be prepared wireless web, be very prepared.
the ‘rents took off today. California better look out. I give it a month and I will own this state.
pretty much too tired to right anything funny or witty so I will just speak from the heart…Nintendo sucks, Sony playstation is so much better.
I found a new place in Venture, California. There is plenty of room for ladies so if you are of the opposite sex and would like to be my roomate please send in your applications. You must like cats, dislike Nintendo, be wealthy, and… well that about covers it. I am a very accomodating host. Hugh Hefner and the Playboy mansion have nothing on me.
So yesterday while we were taking a break from looking at apartments I was sitting at a lovely diner enjoying my latte, when I thought I saw someone I recognized. Sure enough there she was, Angelina Jolie! I couldn’t believe it. No Brad Pitt in sight either. I quickly paid for my coffee and ran to catch up to her. Here is how the conversation went:
Me: Hey Angelina, hows it going?
She: Good.
Me: You wanna go out sometime?
She: Yes.
Now in my head I am thinking at this point that one, she doesn’t even know me, and two she’s married, there is no way I can possibly go on a date with someone with so little morals.
Me: Angelina, you are too easy and there is no way I can date you.
She: (While sobbing) Froyd…I will always hold a place for you in my heart.
Ahhh, someday I will find the one, unfortunately, Angelina is not for me.
