why…

am I so interested in myths, folktales, sci-fi and fantasy? writing up this (oh man if it weren’t lent, there’d be quite a zinger here for swearing) academic addendum to the thesis.

I don’t know. perhaps one day I’ll blog about flying carrots, probably an example more than an explanation.

flying carrots.

by the way….

prince of persia 3 was a satisfying end to the series of games. plot wise.

the game was teh suck though. holy buckets. I despise games that throw enemies at you to make it seem longer. the last 5th of the game you had a one kill weapon. What did they do? they threw enemies at you several times. Why? They’re going to be destroyed with one hit. no big deal. I’m not feeling damage. just an annoyance that you’re wasting my time. jerks.

of the three which one was the best? Warrior Within. That’d be the second one. It had BETTER GRAPHICS than this one, WAY better enemies to fight, and a more engaging story line. plus it didn’t throw enemies at you. it’s a balance issue really, and the second one did it the best of the three.

which puts them on the satisfaction scale all slightly under 10 hours of random battle encounters on disc 3 of final fantasy 9.

and that game was SERIOUSLY teh suck.

OK, thesis…

you’re going down like yesterday’s bad cheese!

**edit**
ok, so I’ve finished writing it. 15 pages. It is pret’ much teh suck though.

and I’m tempted to turn it in the way it is. Just because. 200 pages, followed by 15 pages of teh suck. That way they’ve got something to tell me to change after the oral defense. yes? yes.

something positive

I think this comic may be my favorite so far.

because, Lord knows it, I’ve wanted to do something akin to that to bratty kids.

death sentence

in afghanistan, a man is on trial for converting to Christianity, and faces the death penalty. Apparently, western countries are outraged at this.

Are these countries RETARDED!!?!?!??????

This has been happening in muslim countries for a millenium!! And yet they’re outraged now!?

Since they obviously have no grasp of history, or what has been happening, why doesn’t the west launch a crusade to stop this? Or better yet, just use the armies we have over there and call it a crusade.

good criminy, people are stupid.

Picking Sides

my least favorite country of France is passing laws that make my least favorite computer company Apple angry.

it’s so tough to know what to do in situations like this. Whom do I support? The laws will benefit France, but anger apple…but I don’t want to see any benefits to france. man, here’s when I wish I had a conscience.

in all seriousness though, France is in the right on this one. They are passing a law that would force MP3 sellers(itunes, windows, napster, musicmatch(the one I use), etc.) to open up their DRM(digital rights management) software to others so that the tunes that people HAVE BOUGHT!!!!! can be transferred to other systems that aren’t necessarily native. Like WMA(windows media files) could be played on a MAC, or iTunes MAC files could be played on a PC device.

screw apple. they’re a bunch of hippie yupsters anyway.
