so since I got this car, the cd player has been annoying me in its insistence not to recognize burned discs.

and since I got this computer(as of this afternoon) musicmatch was not recognizing the cd-burners attached, so I was searching for how to fix that problem. and I stumbled across how to fix the car problem.

track at once, rather than disc at once, and the cd player recognizes them. I’m so happy!

also fixed the MMJB problem by doing a system restore.

this computer, which I’ve been typing on since July 2004, that has accompanied me through the 6 week greyhound tour, that has gone with me to every grad class in pacifica, and which has played video games faithfully is now officially mine.

You see, the Hospital gives out loans to employees of up to two grand to get a new computer, which you have 2 years to pay back, a bit taken out of each paycheck. Well, since my working schedule will be sporadic at best over the next couple of months, I went in and paid it all off.

this computer is officially mine.

it’s a good feeling. not quite as good as the feeling when I paid off the business loan, but still up there.

is tough going. It’s difficult to give up a habit you’ve had since middle school.

but I’m trying.

of course, if there’d be less idiots driving in the cities, today would have gone much better.

regardless of the possibility of a pilot’s strike.

that, plus I’m tired from the red eye.

Oh well. Hopefully be back in bemidji by 4 or 5 this evening.
