I bought this coconut on Monday. Thinking to myself as I did so, “Man, some coconut milk and meat would be a kind of treat, wouldn’t it?”

I figured, hey, it’s a coconut, I don’t have time to eat it yet, and they aren’t exactly refrigerated on islands or in stores, so I left it out on the counter.

It was spoiled.

So were my plans to enjoy the coconut.
