WOOHOO!!!! turns out that the old laptop’s mother board is just fine…APPARENTLY all the hassle was due to a bad RAM module. That’s taken out, and it’s smoove sailing apparently from here on out.
That means, tomorrow, in between working on my rhetrik paper, I will be installing not ONLY win98 on the old laptop, but linux as well.
I’m so happy that I could just giggle!

installing linux on the old laptop MAY be leading me to the cause of the problems…and if it IS the cause of the problems…it is an easy fix.

the school’s network connection…soon I shall have linux to put on the old laptop.
