talked to adam today about his travails with doing comps.

some of the nervousness is gone, but not really.

I still have to pick my three. Right now i’m leaning towards something rhetoric, something english lit, and something world lit.

English lit will be well backed up by the classes I’m taking, and the classes I’ve taken here at BSU.
World lit will probably be covered akin to something around ancient texts and will be served by my mythology work.
Rhetoric…well, that one will be covered by teaching writing with tech and by the rhetoric class now.

that’s next semester’s hassle though. This semester is getting the rest of the master’s thesis written by january when classes start again.

*shudder* comps.

May can’t come soon enough.

will be dealing with research topics around ideas in Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card and in selected Sherlock Holmes stories.
