Coke Zero

is the best tasting 0 calorie pop out there.

it tastes, according to one of my friends out at Pacifica, how the OG Coke used to taste before the messed with the recipes around the time of the New Coke.

but regardless, it tastes pretty good.

That is all.

back to the zombie reading.

energized

I think I’ve found out what’s been wrong with me for the last year and a half.

After beating Prince of Persia 2, I’ve gotten lots of reading done, gotten class planned for a while, and am looking forward to finishing up reading for a pacifica class before sleep tonight.

Video games != distraction.

Videogames = distraction cleansing.

Yes, for a period of 12 hours the video game is going to take me from my homework, but if I feel like this when I’m done with it, and get the work finished, it’s a small price to pay. Video games act for my mind much like crackers act for Wine tasting…as a cleanser to prepare for the next taste.

Damn, I’ve been stupid for all that time.

college students in general

They are not beautiful: they are only decorated.
They are not clean: they are only shaved and starched.
They are not dignified: they are only fashionably dressed.
They are not educated: they are only college passmen.
They are not religious: they are only pewrenters.
They are not moral: they are only conventional.
They are not virtuous: they are only cowardly.

This description fits for a lot of college kids. Not so much freshmen, they haven’t learned any of these bad manners yet. This was stolen from a spot when Don Juan was criticizing people in Hell, from George Bernard Shaw, Man and Superman.

Apropos, no?

Prince of Persia 2

I’ll say this for it: it improved on the first one quite a bit.

Rather than a completely repetitious and crappy battle system, they shortened the fights quite a bit and didn’t overwhelm you with enemies. That was a big problem with the first game, they’d dump 7-9 enemies on you sometimes, and it wouldn’t let up for roughly 4-5 minutes, you’d kill one and immediately another would take its place.

POP2 has much more balanced battles, and overall, quite the quick ones too.

The boss battles are pretty key as well. Big, cool looking, and rather difficult for the most part. There are some really easy ones. And the difficulty lies mainly in not knowing the patterns right away.

There is only one thing wrong with this game: too much like the soul reaver series. Esp. soul reaver 2, and defiance. A little bit similar to Blood Omen 2 as well, but not much. The battle system, the weaponary and the enemies were all VERY reminiscent of Legacy of Kain, which are, in my opinion, the better games and the better series.

Still, though, for $10, it wasn’t near as much of a disappointment as the first one was.

I’d suggest renting it fo’ sho’, took me about 12 hours to plow through it, and I didn’t find everything. I’d imagine it’ll take roughly 7-8 hours next time, and that’s including getting all the stuff.
