now…
we pray that the installation goes smoovely.
this operation will involve no less than three computers: My good laptop(fresh from the med tent yesterday), My ruined laptop, and an old Windows 3.1 machine from ages ago.
I need to put the rom flash onto a 3.5″ disk(the only drive that will work for this operation is from the Win3.1 computer, because my old laptop is defunct), but to get it onto that computer which sorely lacks USB drives, internet, and any and all connectivity to the modern world, I have to burn it first onto a cd to transfer it on over.
Once transferred, then I can start up the old laptop, flash the BIOS and hopefully everything will be back in order.
M*A*S*H*: Laptop division.
by the by, I much prefer the old BIOS’ way of handling things, you had much more control over how to setup the computer. Also, WIN3.1 is pretty damned cool. I miss DOS.
I had to link it.
What I’d Say to the Martians by Jack Handey.
it’s really really priceless. Read it. You shan’t be disappointed.
They replaced the mother board in this computer, because of the sound problem. They also updated the BIOS.
This makes me happy. Because it now seems that the ethernet device works well with everything else, whereas before, it did nothing but cause me hassles if I connected any other way but wireless. But now, we’re looking at roughly an hour of connectivity without being dropped.
I’m happy.
I’m dancing.
You should be happy too.
Because you don’t have to see me dancing.
