My old laptop’s hard drive is dead to me. And to everyone else.

I’ve formatted it 3 times, tried reinstalling windows like 12 times, and it never takes. I’m pissed.

goddamn it, I hate MACs, and that’s what I’m working on right now in the writer’s hole in the wall. bleh.

I hate not having my computers. This is the first time where I’ve not had at least ONE working computer at home…at least, a computer that can hook up to the internet. The ol’ Windows 3.1 and Apple 2 GS comps just don’t have it in ‘em.

Anyway, back to work.

’s true! For instance: I am playing some Xbox right now, some doom 3, it’s definitely in a new groove. A new sparking relationship will happen this afternoon when I turn on my oven to bake bread.

And the good company is some tunes on my old laptop, my xbox controller and some dough that’s rising in the kitchen.

Before it was good…now it is sublime.

yep, tomorrow I’ve got a day off. No rivers meeting project…uhh…meeting, no office hours, no class. But it’s not like I’ve ever had any class, right?

That means tonight it’s party time. Yep, gonna hook up the XBox and go nutso on the Doom 3 as soon as I get back from my grandmother’s house for supper. Maybe drink some brews, maybe make a loaf of beer bread. Who knows?

And then tomorrow….video games all day. And baking some good loaves of bread, all day long. Good times.

I sent in my good laptop to be repaired today. I am as impressed as I was the last time I had to send in a laptop for repair(which is this one I’m typing on), they tell you that the box will be there in 3-5 days, but it arrives the next day.

They also told me that it’d take 7-10 days depending on availability, both this time and the last. The last time I had it back on a tuesday, having sent it in on a Friday.

So HOPEFULLY, I’ll have the good laptop back by the time I leave to cali on the 5th o’ November.

This laptop’s screen isn’t as bright. I’m sad. The sound works though, that’s a plus.

Doom at 5:20. I expect, if possible, a worse movie than Domino. It was just that Domino surprised me in its entertainment value.

I don’t hold the same expectation for Doom.

it’s about the same style, about the same plot, and about the same intelligence level. Except they’ve got a better looking brit(keira knightley…rawr!) in this movie.
