callin’ it a night

I have had to request help from the higher up muckety mucks at Prohosting.com to help me figure out my situation with this error.

also, you’ve perhaps noticed that I’ve added ‘karma’ to my blog entries…this may be renamed. it’s basically a popularity contest…if you like the post, vote the plus next to the karma. If you don’t, go to he….I mean vote the minus.

an anonymous way to do things.

now to sleep.

hm.

I’ve updated my greymatter(finally) and it seems to have…upset…the layout of things. plus there’s a damned 500 internal server error that keeps popping up, and I don’t know where or why.

an american foreign legion?

some guy named mark shields suggests it.

I don’t know about it. On the one hand, it would offer some chance for the poor of other nations who have already been denied visas to earn the citizenship and respect of other people(well, of me, for one)…but on the other hand…isn’t there some UN or treaty agreement that bans the hiring and arming of mercenary armies, but which the French Foreign Legion is protected from?

not sure.

movies

so yeah, didn’t see corpse bride tonight…instead went to 40 year old virgin. afterwards, went to transporter 2.

both of those films were pretty good, and the chances of buying them on dvd are the same: nil.

HP Lovecraft

is a bit like poe, from what I’ve read so far of his short stories. They all wrap up rather tidily, and I think it’s a shame that authors have gotten away from taking care of loose ends in recent years. It seems that they think the readers ‘want’ to figure stuff out on their own. Funk dat.

anyway, this guy’s on the level of poe as far as things that go bump in the night, horror, and mysterioooos happenings go. its pretty good stuff.

and I don’t care what anyone says, the phrase “rumour-shadowed Innsmouth” is probably the best description of a town I’ve run across this entire year of reading. it brings to mind the way that certain things in homer are described, and things like the kennings from beowulf.

I’m enjoying this so far.

damn

either things move too fast or too slow. Stop the world, I need to get off and think for a while.

if you don’t, I can’t be held responsible for the vi-olence that may occur.
