a fabulous breeze

is blowing through my bedroom windows which have been closed for what seems like forever due to the heat differential between air conditioned comfort and outside.

but now my AC seems to be busted. I noticed it yesterday…it was running, but there was nothing coming from the vents.

Good thing it waited for the weather to turn mild. Now I just have to fix it before the furnace needs to be turned on.

peanut butter kisses

I think if Al Quaeda would but taste these delicious candies that only appear at halloween time, they would give up their holy war and begin a war to bring about the year round sale and delivery of these black and oranged wrapped taffees.

teaching

some may wonder why I’m not saying anything about teaching so far. It’s because I’ve nothing to say.

and because I want to keep my job(unlike my complaints at the hospital, where I DON’T want to keep my job). And because there hasn’t been anything wrong with it.

and because, well, frankly, I’ve had too much going on everywhere else to even concentrate on blogging about teaching.

so you’re just going to have to ask me in person.

carrying on

today I have to give a guest lecture on fairy tales, Tolkien, and Lord of the Rings. I’m almost prepared for it.

then off to pedagogy class.

then who knows. it’s dollar beer night at the union. I haven’t been there in a long time. perhaps tonight is the night.
