kumdo rocks

so tonight, we did very minor sparring, just a bit to get used to things. The first guy I had up got a point on me before I did him, and I went down in defeat.

Afterwards, we had test runs at the 2nd degree blackbelt.

I got a point on him before he had one on me. it felt pretty good.

now that I’ve read the book

You scored as Albus Dumbledore. Strong and powerful you admirably defend your world and your charges against those who would seek to harm them. However sometimes you can fail to do what you must because you care too much to cause suffering.

ESRB: toothless?

apparently they aren’t doing enough to keep rated video games out of the hands of “impressionable children”. No shit? You mean the ESRB can’t go around and give classes to the fucking idiot parents out there who are too goddamned lazy to pay attention and responsibly take care of their child, occasionally having to say no?

wow.

“There is no doubting the fact that the widespread availability of sexually explicit and graphically violent video games makes the challenge of parenting much harder,” said Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton”

oh for the love of…yeah, too bad that most of the time the parents don’t START PARENTING, so they have NO CHANCE OF confronting a challenge of Parenting!!! Hillary Clinton, one of the many suckers born a minute in her birth year. How fucking challenging is it to say “no”? How about this “Hillary Clinton wants your vote for presidency, and so is pursuing hot button topics.” The answer “No.” How fucking hard was that?

Seriously. Dont’ be talking about the challenges of parenting when your own husband won’t keep it in his pants.

and don’t get me started on Joe Baca, a democrat from California.

“And these games are having a real, detrimental impact on young minds, Baca said — “In a video game, you’re actually pursuing and simulating a person. You’re under hypnosis. You’re a person that is dramatizing, that is living the example of what is going on.”"

Yeah, and we all know that every single actor, writer, painter, and person watching/reading/playing with their imagination is going to go out and act it out. Brilliant thinking, Joe, why don’t you stay at home and drop some more acid?

goddamn, these people irritate me.

Video games: just as bad as movies and tv. Parents: getting lazier and more uncaring about their kids if they have to make a governmental body watch out for them.
