Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones

I love this game. It’s a roleplaying/war strategy game. I love it so much that even when I have to repeat a battle 5 times, I still want to play it.

Why should I have to repeat 5 times, one may ask?

Because if you lose a unit, that unit is gone. No regeneration, no coming back after the battle, that unit is dead and no longer in the game. So consequently, you play the battles through and make sure all your units survive.

it’s a pretty fun game, but for now I needs me some mindless gaming action, so I’m tossing in Rogue Squadron: Rebel Strike on the gamecube. Nice, easy to play, and completely mindless. And the graphics are pretty.

a tale of a bike

so this morning, at 11:05~11:10, Josh comes over for a(quote) “little bike ride”, I’m on the bike he’s on roller blades. we head out, and as neither of us was in the least bit tired until the state park(roughly 6 miles away from my house), we decided to go around the entire lake.

roughly 18 miles, with a 15 minute break at the 14 mile break(dairy queen)!

everything was great until josh’s sunglasses fell off. I turned into a gravel lot to turn around, and wiped out. Now I’ve got a tore up leg, and a bit of a torn up hand. My bike even suffered, bending the fender too far in, and knocking the chain off of the gears in the back.

I got the chain back on, and the fender straightened, so the bike’s no worse for wear.

our average speed was 9 mph, did the trip in about 2 hours.

pretty good for someone on rollerblades and a fat guy on a bike.

seeing as how I didn’t have any hydrogen peroxide or iodine at home, pouring salt on the scrapes to clean them out worked in a snap. although, I don’t recommend this course of action, it hurts.

so now I’m going to sit around the rest of the day. perhaps have some lunch.
