financial aid tussle

ARRRGGGGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!!! the financial aid director is out of the office until monday!

talked to Sallie Mae about the letter…

question:if the excess is added to my loan amount, if it would have to repaid in full, or in payments as with the rest of it.

Answer: Payments.(score!!!!)

question: will this affect my ability to borrow title IV funds next year?

Answer: I don’t know. (DAMMIT!!!!!!) Call or contact your school…whether or not the borrowing limit is annual or aggregate. If annual, you’ll probably be able to borrow next year, if aggregate than no.

curses! so I emailed Pacifica the question. We’ll see. The answer will possibly allow good things(more or less) to happen. Again, the waiting game.

it’s so nice when people who hold the laser poised over your brain won’t commit to either pressing the button(and ending this facade that is helpfulness) or just releasing the bindings so you can escape.

Brigid’s Cross Redux

so we went there for lunch today, kuha, shane, westrum and I.

I will have to say this: since january and april, the pub has improved at least a hundred fold.

Last month we went in there for supper, a group of us, and the food was great. The service was excellent, and attentive. It was rather surprising, so much so, that I forgot to write about it.

And then today…the service again was stupendous, the waiter filling people’s beers so that very little time went between empty and full. It was fantastic.

And the food…the food was pret’ damned good too. I had me a chicken salad sandwich and a cup of soup. I’m not a big fan of chicken salad, but their sandwich there was delish. tomatoes sliced thin enough to cover the entire peice of bread, rather than two huge bumps in the sandwich, and the lettuce was nice and crispy.

the soup…wow. the soup was extremely tasty. I wish I could remember the name of it, but it was some mushroom, chive, and onion mix. It was really really great.

So, I am changing my opinion about Brigid’s Cross, and will hope that those bad experiences earlier on were just new bar pains that they outgrew.

Extra warranty

paid $160 for three more years of coverage on this computer. I don’t plan on updating again for a while, and this comp has to last me. The warranty covers parts and labor, and I remember the fan on my last laptop decided to die on me at the very end of three years.

So I figure, since replacing a fan in one of these $#@(’in things would run about $300, I’m saving at least $140.

and not to mention my cd drive is acting up a little, and there’s an odd buzzing sound from the hard drive occasionally.

yeah, that $160 for an extra three years is seeming to me to be a good idea.

Love is…

driving(or getting a ride) with your girlfriend to the hospital and NOT leaving her sobbing on the pavement outside.

Baseball bat beatings

I’d just like to say how appreciative I am of my friends.

I don’t think I know a single person who, if I were given the run around by a baseball bat and needed a ride, would just dump me off in the parking lot of the hospital and leave me there.
