so we go to the fair, and indulge in fair food at PIRATE PRICES!!! yarr!

and I’ve got to say…I’m VERY disappointed in the showing this year of 4-H aerospace projects. or geology projects, small engines was ok, but jeez. Must be an off decade here for 4-H’ers(until some lil’ chillens grow up to get in it), but jeez. A frickin’ LEGO PLANE. There were no models, no rockets, no nothing. A lego plane. Legos.

Cripes. Everything else at the fair was pretty coo’ though. It was a good time, including when some drunk(maybe, one of them for sure was) guys went up to sing karaoke. Well…perhaps singing is too strong a term.

But all in all, it was a great time.

before the audio files are up. I’m having some issues with converting them on my XP comp, so we’re gonna try it on the win98 computer.

I’ve listened to a couple, and they’re kind of funny. They are not for everyone of course, as the miles increase, so too does the amount of swearing and lewdness.

what can I say? I apparently am not as cultured as I appear to be.

2000 miles in 2 days. Strange thing is this: I feel exactly like I do after flying home. Same amount of exhaustion.

Anyway, I’m chillin’ and drinkin’ some beers. Those audio files(the first 10) will be up tomorrow. I’m not screwing with them tonight, I’m too out of it.

good to be back, Minnesota.

didn’t find a hotel until quarter to twelve. I was going to camp out in west yellowstone, but APPARENTLY the tourists have taken all the hotel rooms. bastards.

a hotel offered me a king sized suite for $90 and breakfast, but I figured if I was going to spend that much, I should at least get internet too.

So I drove another hour and a half, and ended up in Big Sky Montana, where there was a best western which offered me the same deal, but with internet to boot.

I figure since it’s tourist season out here, I’m going to pay that much anyway.

Also…probably tomorrow after I get home, I’m going to upload some audio clips. These things run from 2 to 5 minutes, and were recorded by me chronicling what had happened every 100 miles of this 2000 mile trip. That’s right, I’ve got something like 10 of them from today, and tomorrow will have 10 more!

apparently he was a real person. I’ve got a bunch of books on the legend behind it, I’ll read the play sometime later…it’s important to note the similarities between this story(slash legend) and certain fairy tales that have cropped up in my searching. It’s pretty nifty.

so yeah. now that I’ve got my books, I’m off to well, do nothing until my little brother gets here eventually.

I will be kicked out of here at 7, unfortunately, because the library closes. and then tomorrow I’m off on the cross country road trip.
