time travel…POSSIBLE!?!?!

physicists say so!

totally sweet AND awesome!

There are questions though…they say that if a person knows something, the quantam mechanics of the situation adjusts enough to take that into account and will not allow anything to be changed.

So the question remains is this: what about mentally unstable persons, who to them the world is made up and perceived COMPLETELY different as far as the rest of us are concerned? That might screw up the space-time continuum for the rest of us.

Apparently, if we invent a time machine, we’re going to have to stop psychos from traveling. Sorta like kender/gnomes from the dragonlance books.

Christ, I’m a geek.

thimerosal and vaccines

vaccines = autism?

According to this article on salon.com, in the 90’s, the preservative thimerosal had been added to a great many vaccines to protect against varying diseases(don’t get me started on the need for some of the vaccines, that’s a whole different rant). Even when original animal tests in the 30’s killed the damned animals. But the reason is that it is cost effective, because then drug companies can make multiple doses for cheap, rather than individual doses.

Let’s look at thimerosal. Apparently, it is 49.6% mercury…by weight. Yes. Mercury. MERCURY. The shit that was in thermometers that people kept saying DON’T PLAY WITH. Mercury. Quicksilver. God of speed and messages. God of speedy death and mad hatter type diseases.

and they’ve put it into infant’s vaccines.

I’m having some trouble comprehending the totality of idiocy involved on this subject. read the article on salon.com listed above, and you’ll understand as well. You may have to sit through a microsoft commercial(all of 30 seconds or so) in order to read the article for free.

cripes.

downing street memo

read it here

finally, after about a month(or so) it is printed somewhere OFF THE WEB where I could see it in a somewhat reputable source..

so the Iraq war…the case SHOULD have been made that hussein broke with security council resolutions, had repeatedly blown off weapon inspectors, and was just generally not a nice person to his neghbours.

but nope! Had to go for the fearmongering lies about how the Iraq war was about WMDs and (non-existent) ties to al-quaeda.

Now don’t get me wrong, I think its an acceptable thing and even noble, what our soldiers are doing over there now. If only the reasons would have been more fact-checkable.
