Kum-Do

man, it’s great to be back sword fighting again. Even with all the bruises and the pain, it’s still awesome.

the only problem is endurance…it seems in the last year I’ve put on roughly 30 pounds and lost some of my mad skillz in the ring. I was only out five minutes before I started feeling it.

That means I’ve got to start running again.

The goal is to be in fighting shape(aka able to handle my own for about half an hour if need be…) by August 14th. The Kum-Do tournament is then, and I would be very happy if I was able to place again.

So my plan is to start running again…starting next Monday. First week will be from .5-1.5 miles. I can still do a mile(if I try hard), so by the end of the first week I want to be able to have it up to 1.5 miles. Second week, 2 miles. Third week 2.5-3(we’ll see how I’m doing by then), fourth week 3-4. By August 14th, I’d like to be able to do a full hour running…I was able to do that 2 years ago when I had been running for a month and a half.

It’s go time.
