Grades from Pacifica

History of Depth Psychology: B
Ritual and Ceremony: A
Greek and Roman Mythology 1: A

yeah, I’m pretty pleased. There was one issue however. In the history of depth psych class, on the paper the teacher noted that she was recommending me for a tutorial session in the library, I had assertions without backing them up, and in the paper I wasn’t writing at the graduate level. ouch.

I mean really, ouch.

but then on the other two papers, it appears that they really liked them. I received a ‘bravo’ from each teacher on the paper, with the comments on one of “Truly EXCELLENT. Thorough, scholarly, and forcefully argued. Bravo!”
that was my ritual paper, and included with my greek and roman myth paper was an invitation to include the paper with one of the teacher’s CD-Rom resource discs, allowing me to add another notch to my publishing list on my resume.

now…can we all guess which paper had poorly defined objectives, and which I didn’t quite grasp what I was arguing for/against? Yep. That’s right. The ‘b’ paper. So, mark this up to remember when teaching…if you want quality papers, you need to give out quality guidelines.

Oh well. Half a year down at a stringent grad school, with an overall GPA of 3.5, while at BSU my overall GPA is 3.89.

not too shabby, if I do say so myself. And I do.
