CHANCE OF A LIFETIME!!!

looking for someone who would be willing to check in on Milly the cat on saturday and sunday, to make sure she’s got plenty of food and hasn’t dragged any bodies into the house.

how often in the future will you get to say “I once took care of that murderous mass killing animal”

and no, I’ll be out of town. THE CAT, THE CAT!!!

so…anyone willing?

The alternative is running her out to the ‘rents house to hang with the cats there.

i’m stuck here

for another year. I dropped Virginia Woolf monday morning, and found out that I do indeed have a Teaching Assistantship next year.

yay me!

That means that next year will be a great deal easier than this year, only one serious class each semester, and my thesis. Next may I will truly have mastered the art of english. Then in 3 months after that, in August, I shall have mastered the Art of Mythological Studies.

then only one more year of classes and my doctoral thesis, and I’ll be Dr. Froyd.

And then I’ll set up a megalomaniacal empire, and the british secret service shall have to send a monosyllabled named secret agent after me to stop me. bwahahahahaha…or as a true mad genius with an accent would put it: bwajajajajaja.

so yeah. I’ll be teaching college writing next year. It still hasn’t sunk in completely. I’m kind of tired right now, so my enthusiasm is muted, but now…fo’ sho’, I’ll be done with the hospital in September. aaaahhhhh…and this time it is indeed fo sho.

man…I’ll be molding young minds in college writing, and I’ve never taken a college writing class…how crazy is that?

the jackals

are not so prevalent tonight. Things have calmed down quite a bit.

Thank God. I don’t think I could handle another night like last night.

ritual

every morning I go through a small little ritual after the necessities that keeps me sane for the day.

Step #1: Turn on computer.
Step #2: Open up browser and check my blog.
Step #3: Check other people’s blogs.
Step #4: Check the day’s comics(now you can too via the sidebar!)
Step #5: Read my comics that are delivered via Email.
Step #6: Read the newspaper(mostly just the comics)
Step #7: Check my email again.
Step #8: Usually throughout the day in my freetime it is a combination of steps 2,3 and 7.

and there you have it. A little ritual that will keep you happy each morning. Until you open the door to the outside world and realize that it hasn’t gotten any better at all.

a new filosofy

a new froyd’s filosofy:

Acceptance is just denial without the mad raving.

and I’ll admit…I stole it from The Good Little Robot web comic.

I’ve also added a few more bloggidy blogs on the right, and a new section that will showcase the webcomics that I read regularly.

more to come soon.

brothers

man. I’m off to florida on Friday, be back on monday. it is my older bro’s b-day on sunday so the ‘rents sprung for a ticket for me. he works for Motorola building prototype models of their high concept products and cell phones.

in other news, my little brother won a state wide ‘walk around’ contest at the ford dealership he works at in California. The contest is basically for the best salesman who can do the most comprehensive rundown of the car he or she is selling in 8 minutes. This means he’s on to the national contest.

i’m still in school working on degrees that won’t guarantee me either job or money.

ever feel just a little inferior?
