Orlando By Virginia Woolf

one sentence sum up of the 4 chapters read so far(the other two I’m reading tonight):

Woolf’s ruminations on the differences of the sexes.

And I’m goddamned bored of it already. Although, the toad scene was perhaps the most entertaining scene in any of her books so far. Except maybe when septimus offs himself. Or the whole short story “The Society”.

Victory Today

I got the tires on my car replaced for the princely sum of $136. Pretty good if I do say so myself. The tires are a tad bit larger than the ones I had before, but I hardly notice the difference.

Anyway. The victory today? I spent 45 minutes(while they were replacing my tires across the street) in Target looking at DVDs and Video games. And I had $40 hard cash in my pocket.

I didn’t buy a single thing.

And for me, that’s quite the victory, when I have cash in my pocket that isn’t going towards anything specific. What can I say? I like to shop and buy rather than shop and look, most of the time. It’s a habit that I need to break.

Other than that, though, the day has been a total bust.
