two words came to my mind when I played this game, and finished:
Holy Bejeezus.
It is that good. I’ve rarely played a gamecube game that was this good, let alone a resident evil game that was this good. There’s a level of satisfaction that I’ve been missing lately in my video game, namely that of finishing a game completely and not having to worry about the main plot further down.
Capcom did it stupendously here, with the plot open for a sequel(but really, what Resident Evil game isn’t?), and now I want to play it through again. It is that good, and the story was complete in and of itself with interesting characters, great voice acting, and really splendiferous movies. Wow.
If you don’t own it, I suggest buying it now.
So, in a matchup between Halo 2, KOTOR2, and Resident Evil 4, guess which one wins in the battle of the sequels? Resident Evil 4. And it’s the FOURTH one in the series. Bungie could take some lessons from capcom.
and as for LucasArts, well they’re screwed any way as long as that jackass Lucas is still alive.
If you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go start playing Resident Evil 4 through again.
