Ok, so now I REALLY don’t know what was running through Dr. Michael’s mind. She gave my friend Jake Westrum an F for the class, basing it(I assume) on his paper.

Here’s the deal: I know his paper was better than mine, it included everything his outline said it would, and still she fails him. I seriously DO NOT understand what is running through this lady’s head.

I imagine that there will be a good hour in there arguing with her when my paper is done about the entire process. If she oks the outline, oks what is talked about in class, and then doesn’t say in class anything else, then there is OBVIOUSLY something wrong when she hands out F’s based on papers that she’s already seen the plans to.

Also, according to her, the Websters American Online Dictionary is not a credible source. Apparently Eurocentrism runs high, as only the OED is acceptable. I find Eurocentrism as annoying as Amero-Centrism, something so blatantly dumb as to say A DICTIONARY is not a credible source because it isn’t the OED is beyond my comprehension.

*sigh*

The new year is going to have its share of arguments, as I have Dr. Michael for Virginia Woolf as well.

I find I’m in the same position I was last December with the creative writing program…if I wasn’t one semester(plus thesis) away from graduating, I’d quit right now. I don’t have the patience for some 2-bit northern minnesota college handing out F’s to grad students on papers that have already been ok’d. Thank God for a real school at Pacifica. At least they respect the students attending.

I’ve never felt in the last 5.5 years at BSU that I was respected as a person on the whole from the university, with exceptions for I’d say about 4 teachers, possibly 5, eh, I’ll be generous 6. But from the administration on down, there is a STUPENDOUS attitude of disdain for the students.

one half inch of ice is coating everything up here. It is a good thing I didn’t shovel, so that I had a nice soft landing spot on the lower step(breaking it in the process) when I grabbed for a handhold and there was only ice.

THE WORLD IS ENDING!!!!

in this case, a girl is suing Take2 Interactive to stop production of the Guy Game, because she was a minor at the time of the photo shoot, and didn’t have legal right to consent to said nude photos.

She is seeking damages, and a stop to the video game being produced/sold.

Well….I’ve got one thing to say to this: Good.

WHAAAA!? yes, good. I am in complete support of lawsuits which seek to stop crappy crappy games. And from all the reviews that I’ve seen(and indeed the concept of the Guy Game), I couldn’t be more pleased if absolute shit like it gets stopped.

after 4 years of working nights on christmas eve and day, next year(if I’m working here still) I will be requesting it off.

A dancing monkey! I put it sarcastically on my wishlist, and my little brother actually pulled through! it is SO awesome! And when you tap it on the head, it screeches at you! Or, tad it, as the instructions on the box say…still…this toy is AWESOME.
