Problems in Lit Crit Thesis Stuff.
So I’m having some trouble trying to figure out what to do for this 15 page paper. I’d kill to be able to do tolkien again, but it doesn’t seem to fit in with any of the sets of essays we had to read. I’d love to be able to do a myth or tale of some sort, but again…THERE ARE NONE THAT FIT WITH THE SETS OF ESSAYS.
grumble grumble.
I think I’ll end up analyzing one of Grimm’s Fairy Tales, specifically the one entitled ‘Faithful John’ from the point of subjectivity/identity. I think. I’m going to run that by Michaels tonight, and see what she thinks.
Not even sure if that is technically ‘literature’, but I think it’ll fly. I mean…if Renee can use a movie, I ought to be able to use a fairy tale, right?
