Touching the Void

If you haven’t seen this movie I highly suggest you do.

It’s only the third movie that has caused me to cry.

And before you get any ideas, I’m a manly man who’ll kick people’s asses.

But regardless. The film is about 2 climbers who try to climb a mountain in Peru, and well…needless to say, crap happens. A really good tale of survival and such. I really do recommend you either rent it or buy it. I borrowed it from one of my friends.

An aside:Red Stripe Beer is very tasty. Watch the advertisements. Red Stripe: It’s beer! Hooray Beer!

Dance Dance Revolution Redux

Holy Living God! I am thankful that there has been sent to the Earth a form of exercise that is extremely fun and enjoyable!

All righty, that outta the way. I’ve decided that every day, DDR will provide me with some exercise. I do about 45 minutes to an hour playing the game. First 15 minutes I play the easiest level(gimme a break, I’ve had it for 3 days, and I’m no where near mastering the first damn level!), and then I do workout mode for a half hour of music.

Burned over 300 calories tonight. That’s the average that I was doing running on the treadmills down at the hospital. Except here, I do it in the privacy of what I now dub the ‘workout room/writing room’, which is down the hall from Kamran’s room. But I keep it relatively quiet…or so I think. Regardless…there aren’t old people around making stupid expressions about the music, nor are they messing up the treadmills by being so slow. I swear…everytime that I went to the hospital a year ago, three or four treadmills would not allow anyone to run on them, they’d always stop and a really bad smell would come from them if you tried to go above 3 mph….grrrr. BUT NO MORE.

Now, I have DDR.

Praise be to God!

1.75 hours to go

and then I’m off from work.

It has been a hell of a day, what with people running around rampant and being sick and injured all over the place. Cripes. it’s like these people don’t have anything better to do than to sit for 3 hours in the waiting room for a cold.

*sigh* It’s days like today that burn my mind.

Maybe I should go see the incredibles or something tonight. Who knows what I’ll do? Nobody, cause I’m craaaaazy!
