After 2 days, ain’t nobody wants to be around me on the bus.

The first day was ok, though my patience waned at the end of it. Yesterday was all right until about 1 or 2 in the afternoon. It was then that my patience was shot, and my anger began to burn brightly.

I had the seat to myself up to that point, and was able to recover some of my sleep that I had lost. It was around noon that asshole #1 decided to sit with me. It was ok though, he wasn’t as assholish as other people, and it really wasn’t him that shot my patience. It was the jackass lady twins.

Some chick was taking greyhound to a treatment center, and had a chaperone with her. They were extremely loud, normally the type of people who would have sat in the back of the bus. Unfortunately for everyone in the middle and the front of the bus, the back of the bus was filled with a couple of families and their kidlets. So the loud obnoxious chicks sat towards the front. Grrr….right behind me. Their piercing laughter and yelling, and rude comments penetrated my mp3 player’s highest volume. Thankfully the bus driver pulled a brilliant move and left them in some small town in Montana. According to witnesses, he said 10 minutes, and then when he saw the two go across the street, it had been 6 minutes and he got everyone over near the bus aboard and then took off. I don’t think it was 6 minutes, I’m reasonably certain it was 10. But even so, it was a completely understandable and commendable move on the bus driver’s part, in my opinion.

Unfortunately this riled up the people who were being entertained by her, and it took some time and supper for them to simmer down. Then JACKASS sat down next to me. Normally, I don’t mind fidgeters, I have no problem with them, as long as they are quiet and not affecting me in any way, shape, or form. This one had the bouncy knee. Do you realize how difficult it is to sleep when someone has a bouncy knee and is sitting right next to you? Frickin’ impossible. I had to finally ask him to stop, with very limited success. Then I arrived in the station here in spokane.

Thankfully, everyone except 2 or 3 people emptied out or transferred. Even though I had a 7 hour wait, it is going pretty damned smoothly. The security guard was all right to talk to for a bit, and I watched a couple of movies. Plus, this town has sprint PCS network which is allowing me to connect to the internet.

And that’s where I am now…Leavenworth by 1:30PM local time, and right now it is 6:45AM local time. wheeee. I can’t wait to be off buses for a while.
