So today, Natasha got to my house about an hour or so late…not really surprised. She did warn me when I first met her that she had troubles with the clock, and seeing how she worked last night I forgive her for that.
We watched the ‘Hotel Inspector’, ‘Germans’ and ‘A Touch of Class’ episodes of “Fawlty Towers.” A good time was had. Then I taught her the basics of Cribbage, but I’m not entirely certain if she’ll be able to remember much of the rules. We only played one game, and I’m doubtful in my ability to teach much.
Then we headed down to applebee’s where Natasha, once we got the food, took out her knife and tested the edges and the tip. This sparked my curiosity because she ordered shrimp. Then she said ‘Nope, too rounded at the tip. Not good for stabbing.’ That sparked my fear. Esp. when she dipped the knife in the marinara sauce and stabbed the toast.
Actually, looking back, it was quite funny. Especially when I threatened to scream about the murdered toast.
After that, we went back to my place where Milly graciously allowed Natasha to hold and pet her. Milly digs Natasha. A very rare occurance for Milly to allow someone else to be around. Anyways, after that Natasha left again, and I was left to my own devices.
I read through the book ‘I Am Legend’ by Richard Matheson. According to the title, ‘This may be the most terrifying science fiction novel you will ever read!!!!!!’(exclamation points ACTUALLY in the desription which is as large as the title). It was an entertaining read, but towards the end when it introduced a concept of an evolving society and norms changing, it really intrigued me.
But it wasn’t terrifying at all. I’ve a mind to call up this Richard Matheson and ask for an apology. BUt the book was free, so no complaints.
With that, sleep beckons, and I answer this “HOLD YOUR HORSES!! I’LL BE RIGHT THERE!”
