I wonder what those fruits at People and the Environment think about this. 14000 gigatons of carbon locked in the ocean is quite a bit, almost weighing in as much as the stupidity of this class.

After they basically told us to hate the author of The Skeptical Environmentalist: Measuring the Real State of the World(and I’m not kidding, Siems put this guy’s face on the board and lambasted the class for about 10 minutes about how Bjorn Lombard was evil and didn’t know what he was talking about. It reminded me a lot of the “Daily Hate” from 1984.

I can only imagine the outrage that will be shown when they find out about this. Probably the same thing. “These so called ’scientists’ don’t know anything, they’re lying liars and telling fibs and the environment is doomed because we are all a bunch of evil bastards who enjoy poisoning it…” ad infinitum. Nothing like a bit o’ hopelessness to make everyone’s day go easier!
