Goddammit.

So I just got talked into buying a ticket to a spaghetti feed dinner to support the Junior ROTC program at the local high school. It was only $5, but I doubt that I’ll even go because I’m not sure what the plans are tomorrow. I’m such a sucker for kids running around asking for money.

Its a wonder

That this plague has infected us for 20 long years without anyone stopping it.

Well, its that time again

Time to go to sleep so I can be all rested up to go to work. God I hate that place. On the plus side, I seem to get more stuff done there on the night shift than I do the entire week before hand. And the money’s good. I’m so weak willed when it comes to getting stuff done and making money…*sigh*

Assignment #1

Yes, I’m putting this right at the top of my page, just so Doc Morgan can see that I did my homework. Well, in all my travels last night among the insides and the outsides of the web, and using both google and the links offered on the daybook, I have come to the conclusion that there are a lot of blogs labeled ’sarcastic and funny’ which are niether sarcastic, nor funny. In fact, a lot of them are quite polite and serious. Then I happened upon a site Babalu, that caught my interest. Don’t ask me WHY it caught my interest it just did. So I went there, and found someone who is rather funny. The thing that I enjoyed most about his site, was that he was actually trying to accomplish a noble goal(namely getting rid of a dictator), and I enjoyed that quite a bit. I also followed a link on his site to Little Tiny Lies, and I found that he had much the same political views that I did. That immediately gained him points, and the fact that he portrayed them in a sensical manner, and sarcastic to boot, gained him even more. And how can you not like a blog displaying prominently this quote: ‘God, I hate a stinking folk singer’?

Grrr….

Stupid grad schools. I’m down to 4, yes, 4, fat grad schools. One in LA, by the name of Antioch College, one in Arkansas(shudder), University of Arkansas, one here in my hometown of Bemidji, Bemidji State, and finally, the best for last, Trinity College, Dublin, obviously the one in Dublin would be key. Oregon State was being jerkish with its application process, and Bowling Green State doesn’t accept fantasy/sci fi work, so screw ‘em. So, if you would, keep your fingers crossed for Ireland.
